The closed learning loop (Observe → Execute → Reflect → Crystallize → Reuse) means Hermes gets better at your specific workflows over time. Run it for a month and it has a library of skills it wrote for your exact environment. OpenClaw's skills are static: whatever you install is what you get until you edit the SKILL.md yourself.
OpenClaw has been around longer, with a bigger library of third-party skills on ClawHub and more battle-tested integrations. If you want a known, controllable assistant with explicit gating per skill (including the ProxyBase skill), OpenClaw is the safer default.
